Bill Forbes is the Director of Child Protection for World Vision International, a Christian humanitarian organization working in almost 100 countries for the well-being of children through tackling the root causes of poverty and injustice. Bill’s role provides strategic leadership to World Vision’s efforts to strengthen local effectiveness in preventing and responding to abuse, exploitation and neglect of children in the world’s most difficult places. This includes programming which addresses child labor, street children, child trafficking, sexual abuse and exploitation of children, child protection in emergencies, children affected by armed conflict, gender based and domestic violence and child safe organization protocols. Previously, Bill worked for World Vision in Cambodia for 8 years, providing leadership to the Peace and Justice Program which focused on violence against children. He studied International Development at Fuller Theological Seminary School of World Mission and Cornell University.
