Noor Saleem

Noor joined the CPC Learning Network as a Graduate practicum student in June 2022 while pursuing an MPH with a certificate in Public Health and Humanitarian Action. Her work over the summer was dedicated to plan for a 6-month program in Tigray to hear the voices of youth who are living in crisis by using a photovoice methodology. She will continue to work as a Graduate Research Assistant on this project along with other projects in CPC.

Noor graduated from the University of Michigan with a major in Biopsychology, Cognition and Neuroscience. She’s interested in the intersection of neuroscience and public health, more specifically in mental health of children and adolescents who experienced trauma as a result of crisis.

She has experience in planning photovoice methodology and facilitating session for refugee adolescents from the MENA region.

Since May 2020, she worked for a small NGO in Syria as an M&E coordinator and a focal point for 3 initiatives to successfully implement their activities. She also planned and managed a program for women to gain basic skills to leverage their careers and conduct need-based assessments in their communities.
