Lily Lu

Lily Lu is a graduate research assistant with the CPC Learning Network, and her work includes assisting with the various stages of manuscript development, currently with a focus on a systematic review to examine the risk factors for interpersonal violence in the household in humanitarian settings. Lily is a second-year MPH student in the Department of Epidemiology, and has transitioned into her work with the CPC through her practicum at the AfriChild Centre in Uganda, where she did work on topics of malnutrition, primary education, and violence against children. Prior to her studies at Columbia, she had just received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Canada, and has gained substantial experience in cancer research from work with government agencies, hospitals, and other research institutions. Lily has since developed great interest in child health and development, and in public health priorities and access to care in humanitarian emergencies.
