Emily joined the CPC Learning Network as a Graduate Research Assistant in February 2021, while pursuing an M.A. in International Educational Development at Teachers College, Columbia University. She specializes in International Humanitarian Issues with research focuses in refugee education, early childhood development, child protection, and psychosocial support for young learners. Prior to Teachers College, she was a program coordinator at the Institute of International Education, administering scholarship programs for international students and assisting with emergency management program support. In addition, she has experience with with humanitarian organizations Save the Children and Refugee Rescue, where she assisted with proposal writing for humanitarian projects and staffed women and child friendly spaces in a refugee camp in Greece, respectively. She advocates for quality educational opportunities and protection for children experiencing emergencies. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from American University in International Service.
