Katy Barnett

Katy Barnett has worked in Colombia and the Caucasus and most recently as a headquarters based advisor on humanitarian and child protection issues with frequent deployments to support field based programming and coordination. She has an MSc from SOAS in Development Studies and following a short period in the private sector has spent most of her career in the non profit sector, working for CARE, RedR, Save the Children and UNICEF. Following several years as the global level coordinator for child protection within the humanitarian cluster system in Geneva, she now coordinates the No Lost Generation initiative, which is an interagency effort to increase the scale and quality of the response for children and young people affected by the Syria and Iraq crises under three pillars: Education, Child Protection and Adolescents & Youth.
